THUS Leased Lines offer secure, high-quality point-to-point connectivity in a wide range of bandwidths, from 64kbps to 622Mbps. The service is ideal for connecting customers to service provider data centres or network POPs. Designed to run over the THUS national network, our leased lines have been built using SDH technology, so if there is a problem on a particular link, traffic is automatically re-routed over an alternate one. This gives a service level of 99.95% as standard.

Applications that can be reliably supported include videoconferencing, mainframe linkage, intranet and bulk data communication, such as EPOS and stock control. The service can also provide extremely cost-effective inter-site voice communications.

THUS normally delivers Leased Lines over protected 155/622Mbps bearers into your data centres, which removes the need for you to connect each service physically to your own equipment, while also allowing for attractive wholesale pricing.

THUS Carrier Transit Services have been designed to offer carriers a flexible range of options, which can extend network reach and deliver real commercial advantage. The product includes a full range of UK origination and termination services, as well as international termination services. These include UK and mobile termination, as well as Carrier CPS, Inbound NTS and Freephone, Inbound PRS, Inbound Transit and CSI Extension services.

We offer two interconnect options, TDM and SIP, with a straightforward migration path between the two options. THUS can easily migrate the TDM service to our SIP platform without loss of service or benefits. The billing on both systems is identical and is not impacted by the change in technology.

Utilising the THUS SIP interconnect, customers can benefit from having a single Ethernet port as their point of connectivity for both voice and data. In addition, capacity levels are both easier to manage and quicker to increase, and there could be a cost saving on equipment for the customer.
